“Gasp! You have two devastatingly good books on your list, often overlooked good books, I may add. I liked Wonder Boys, but couldn't get into Kavalier and Clay. Donna Tartt has another novel "The Little Friend" that is as page-turningly appealing as Harry Potter but with much more weight, of course. That book is like a train-wreck one can't take one's eyes off of, BECAUSE YOU ARE RIDING ON IT with Tartt's pre-teen protagonist.”
