“I did enjoy the books, they had a different twist to the typical thriller book. Plus I enjoyed the Swedish backdrop. I must say, I don't consider myself a prude either, but the "Hornet's Nest" movie had some scenes that were a bit over the top.
Generally I am not a big fan of seeing the movie version of a book I read but with these books I am intrigued with the cultural aspect. I think the American versions won't do Sweden justice.”

“Okay, fair enough. Different strokes for different folks. Not my thing, but you enjoyed it.
I didn't see any of the movies, and don't feel like I need to.”

“Did you enjoy all three of these books? I read "Dragon Tattoo", and then was in the middle of "Fire" when I thought that it was all just too similar. Not to make light of violence toward women at all, but, really, I got the point, Mr. Larsson! And while I am certainly no prude, I found "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" a tad "pornographic".
What do you think?”
