“I never saw this cover before, I'll dare speculate that the designers and editors never actually read the book?!?
I have to admit (and I wonder if this is a dirty little secret among introspective, intellectual teenage boys of a certain bent), that I read the Bronte sisters off the bookshelves of the beautiful, slightly-older, sisters of my friends, and thought of small, obscure Jane Eyre as a bodice-ripping ideal of femininity.
