“Wow- I recall seeing this book on the bestsellers list for so many months now, and although I have not read it myself, I can surmise based on your comments here, that it would be most compelling and a rather dramatic look into the human spirit! I will remember this one. Thank you!”

“I so enjoyed this book. It shows that one person can make a difference. I am enjoying Ken Follett's books and especially the latest one The Fall of Giants. It starts at the beginning of WWI. It also has some nice spicy scenes.”

“I liked the peaceful concept of educating people so much better than war. Agree the frequent mention of Mortenson and the tangent of his going home and to be married added little to the story. I felt a human connection to the people that the news does not provide. I live in Chicago although like to see what others are reading.”
