“Amazing! 19th century take on Dickensian London, only now with more lesbians. Tender, haunting, literate, and fast-paced.”

“Concur with most-romantic-book-yet-read. It's hugely satisfying to me that this story exists; you know those books that change the way you breathe, just recollecting them?”

“HA ha. Well, they didn't have a chance in that hell you don't believe in of doing a decent job putting the book on screen, so in a way they're already consigned to oblivion. (And even if Rachel MacAdams is damn cute, she looks/is NOTHING like Claire.)
I saw an interview with Niffenegger in which she was asked about the movie - she said the publisher who took her book was one which focuses on getting rights optioned for movies, even before the books have been published, so she knew it was going to happen from the beginning. But when she was asked what she thought of the movie, she refused to comment. (I would LOVE to hear what she wouldn't say!)”
