“I read this for an Italian Lit class in college. Our professor made a big deal about Calvino and his work in semiotics and then said, "But this is his best book even though it doesn't have a big MEANING behind it." She had this cute Sicilian accent and looked like somebody's grandma. That's what I think about when I see this book. I think I need to re-read it soon.”

“I read this in college for an Italian Literature class, and really loved it. I was kind of surprised because our professor went into all the semiotics involved in Calvino's works, and his hidden philosophies, so I was expecting something really dry. It definitely made me seek out more of his works, though.”
