“Timeless truths... and never needed more urgently by our youth. I don't expect kids who have been raised on one-liners and corn syrup to read Hayek, so I am trying to write short (24 pages or less) humorous parables for publication (illustrated for the ADHD crowd, which we are all fast becoming!) illustrating Hayek's principles.
My other inspiration: a tiny book called "How to Lie With Statistics" by Darrell Huff (1954) (Illustrated by Irving Geiss.) It should be taught in schools! Kids would be better prepared to read the newspaper and view the news. It should be mandatory reading for anyone going into the field of news reporting, but it is not!”

I have fallen off the tracks with my illustrated parables because it seems that everyone around me (and my sole heir) are perfectly content to live "in the day" and not expend energy worrying about the future of humanity. Who am I to buck a national trend? So Ho hum, I've been going on shopping sprees (solar panels a and LED lights my current favorite.) I could email you the unillustrated parable called "The Saga of the Shoe" if you wish, for your personal entertainment. I was going to add clip-art for a cheap fix-up.
