Doctor Zhivago
by Boris Pasternak
“The novel as big as the life. For me Boris Pasternak is the greatest writer and the greatest poet. His words and thoughts are so human, pacifistic and fair.”

“It depends on what you like to read, what your interestes are... If you enjoyed Pasternak, then i guess you'd like Mikhail Bulgakov, you can check out his 'The Dog's Heart', 'Master and Margarita'. Another author that i'd suggest is Vladimir Nabokov, with him it's more difficult, people usually either love him or hate him.”

“Thanks Iren. Will have to check out some poetry if I can find it. Any other Russian authors you'd suggest?”

“His poetry, can start from any book with selected poems. His other prose is small and i didn't read any of that.”

“Well if you check the books I've listed on my profile you may get a better idea of what I like. I have read Day Watch & Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko and enjoyed those quite a bit, but that's current Russian lit I guess and not classic like Pasternak. Have been meaning to read Nabokov, would you suggest Lolita to start off with or something else by him?
So, what do you do in Moscow other than reading & dancing?”
