28-year-old woman in Washington, DC, United States
Seeking a man, 26 to 38
I would describe myself as...

I am originally from Indiana and I moved to Washington DC to work in government affairs. I have been in DC for three years now, and really enjoy the city.

Since people always ask, here are five totally random things that I love about the city:

1. The view as you cross the 16th Street Bridge over Beach Drive.
2. The Folger Shakespeare Theater
3. The Columbia Heights Plaza
4. The labyrinth at the National Cathedral
5. The atrium at the National Gallery

When people meet me, they notice...

Physically, the first thing everyone notices is my eyes, cliche as that may be. They are blue, just like my mother's and father's. I kinda won the genetic lottery on that one.

Once you actually start talking to me, the first thing people say they notice is my laugh. It is loud and full and I imagine befuddling to those who don't know me well! People tell me that I have an exuberant personality, and it just kinda spills out when I find something funny.

On a related note, I can remember being little and being embarrassed by my mother's loud and vivacious laugh...and now I sound exactly like her!

You'll often find me...

My friends and I work hard, so we play hard too. Sometimes, if a week is really rough, I do enjoy coming home, making dinner, and going to bed at 9pm.

But, when I'm not being "lame", I'm often at a concert, or a bar/lounge, or a play, or a sporting event, or at a party...you just never know!

Two things I can't live without...

If you don't count the obvious ones, like water, air, central air-conditioning, etc., or the easy ones, like family, friends, or my cat, I would probably have to say my Droid phone and my running shoes.

The bravest thing I've done recently...

Just last night I sang a rousing rendition of "I've Got Friends In Low Places" at my local gay bar's karaoke night. It was a big departure from the show tunes for that crowd!

I am particularly good at...

I like to think I am a pretty good cook. I make a pretty mean lasagna and I love to experiment with new recipes. I also love to throw parties, which is kinda funny cause I live in a little two bedroom apartment! We still have an awesome time rockin' out on the Wii.
