“This book had been on my radar for quite some time before a 3 for 2 deal persuaded me to take the plunge. I had about 30 pages left of this book and had to go out and buy book 2 so I could be ready. The concept is so fiendishly clever, the idea of "what if the dark lord won?" and I had great fun following Kelsier and Vin's efforts to take down an empire. It also marked my return to reading bricks - I'd been shying away from reading lengthy epics, due to limited reading time when work got crazy, but this book helped to set me back on track.”
