“My favorite story in this novel is Marianne's and Colonel Brandon. Marianne did not like Brandon because he was a bit older than her but Brandon fell in love with her at first sight. Over time, she came to realize that Brandon was, basically, her other half -- he was the one she was searching for. I love this story for the fact that it reminds us that sometimes what we're looking for is right in front of us and other times we need to go search for it; it is always there.”
