My father handed me my first Ayn Rand novel - Anthem - when I was fifteen and wanted to be just like him. He gave me We the Living and The Fountainhead, too, built me up to them appropriately. We the Living is my favorite because it's the least ideological. It combines my love of intellectualized romance and Rand's controversial, yet eloquent, philosophy.”
