“I love Krakauer, and although his more popular books, like Into the Wild, are great, this one has special import to me. I was raised LDS. I'm no longer a member of that religion, but this book dealt with Mormonism, and polygamy, and ALL of it so fairly and respectfully while still showing how CRAZY it is... it blew my mind. I know if I had read it as a Mormon I would have been totally offended, but reading it as a FORMER Mormon was gratifying, for lack of a better word.”
