“Ok. So...I really love this book. I'm not into military books, movies, history. It just isn't me. I only read this book because I saw the movie on HBO (I may have a teeny tiny little crush on Alexander Skarsgard. Whatever.)
Anyway, I saw the movie and I was curious about the book, so I read and felt like I was reading a scary version of Catch-22. It was scary because it was real, and all of these things happen, and I didn't see any logic or sense in the command. I know what I see, what was portrayed, isn't the whole story, and I've no idea what it is like to be a Marine, but I couldn't help but feel for every gentleman there.”
