I love all of Jane Austen's work, and I think this is one of the best film adaptations of her works. Since I teach high school theater, I also love reading the behind-the-scenes that Emma Thompson wrote of the pre-production, shooting, and post-production ordeals, and I love her sense of humor, wit, and intelligence. I've always admired Emma Thompson as a woman and actress, so her diary allowed me to peak in on her life during the making of this film.”
