“In high school, I chose Vonnegut's masterpiece without knowing anything about it except that it was a film I was only half-interested in. We had to give a presentation and paper on a writer and I was pretty shocked at how nonlinear this book was (my teacher was surprised that I chose it).
Well, Choose Your Own Adventure novels, be damned! This still works for me. The late Mr Vonnegut found a way to approach a great and personal tragedy in a book that we are still learning to approach and understand. We should all be grateful for this excellent mash-up of fact and (science-) fiction.”

first of all, VONNEGUT is supreme!! back in highschool i got caught up in reading his books, and just fell in love with his writing. and yes, Vonnegut did address a very serious ,fragile, devastating problem in this book, which will always exist as long as we are at war with others. i say let's go to KILGORE TROUT'S money tree and pick a handful of $20.00's!! i need to put this on my list as well, since i had forgotten i had read it way back when. thanks for posting it in your list! good taste!”
